Wilkes-Barre Farmer’s Market

Each Thursday during the summer to mid November we have something special planned for the whole family. Full of family fun, music, food, crafts and, of course, the highest quality fresh produce from local growers, the Wilkes-Barre Farmers’ Market is the place to be this summer!

The Scranton Fringe Festival is dedicated to creating a bold and engaging platform for creative and thought provoking art with minimal risk to artist and audience. Regional as well as touring artists will be welcomed to present work with no censorship placed on content or artistic expression while striving to promote Scranton as a viable and creative environment.

All types of shows are welcomed on the fringe! You can expect to any of the following at the fringe festival: Theater, Comedy, Fashion, Burlesque, Spoken Word, Dance/Movement, Music, Film, Magic and (possibly) MORE!!

In the Spirit of providing an incredible musical cultural event in the Back Mountain, the Cultural Event Committee will hold its 3rd annual signature event on Friday, October 2, 2015, at the Huntsville Golf Club, from 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM. This year’s talented Beatles tribute band is Beatles Faux Sale. The $75 ticket price includes food, drinks, entertainment, and souvenir photos.

Spectacular Colors of Fall Walk

Join the Lackawanna Audubon Society on an interpretive hike in search of local flora and fauna, and learn the science behind the incredible annual display of colorful foliage in our region. LCEEC’s new bird feeding station will also be unveiled thanks to a donation from the Lackawanna Audubon Society. Geared to all ages. $5 per person. Pre-registration is required. Tunkhannock Rotary Harvest & Wine Festival 2015

Every October, the Tunkhannock Rotary Club holds a Harvest & Wine Festival at Lazybrook Park in Tunkhannock, PA. The Festival attracts approximately 60 vendors throughout the day with more than a dozen Pennsylvania wineries participating plus food, live entertainment, wine accessories, home wine-making supplies, and a wide variety of locally produced baked goods, cheeses, chocolates, maple syrup, honey, art, apparel, jewelry, handcrafted items and much more. Last Fling Pumpkin Sling

Start cranking and getting ready for the 5th Annual Last Fling Pumpkin Sling at the Pocono Raceway. Enjoy pumpkin sling competition, vertical ventures jump unit, craft, food, hot air balloon tethered rides, hay rides, and much more. Spectators and participants should always watch for flying pumpkins, and enter or participate at own risk. No pets or alcohol allowed on the property. The hurricane/snow date is October 17 and 18.

Lehigh Valley Cider and Wine Festival

The Lehigh Valley Cider and Wine Festival – an on-field event featuring hard cider and wine tastings from local and regional cideries and wineries – makes its debut on Sat., Oct. 24 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park. Attendees each receive a collector’s stemless glass to enjoy their cider and wine tastings and can also purchase a variety of food and crafts from local food trucks, vendors and artisans.
